I am an art historian and cultural heritage scholar. My main research interest is in the field of Digital Heritage, across the museum, library and archive sectors.In particular I have a passion for research in the areas of preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage and scientific digital objects, cultural heritage informatics, the application of information technology to museums, libraries and archives, and innovative ways of representing information online.As Research Fellow in History of Art, University of Glasgow, I am conducting interdisciplinary research as Principal Investigator on cultural networks within the EU FP7-SSH collaborative research project MeLA-Museums in an Age of Migrations. Prior to this I led research teams and contributed to six EU (FP6, FP7, ICT PSP) projects on digital preservation and digital libraries, developed research on information systems for industrial design, museology and museography and published the results of my scholarship.
