Vincent Wintermans is policy officer at the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO and as observer attached to the Netherlands National Committee for the Memory of the World Programme. His current professional interests are open access publishing, documentary heritage and communication & development. He participated in research on Dutch experiences with long term preservation in digital preservation and presented this at the Vancouver Memory of the World Conference in 2012. He has published on Open Access and the Memory of the World Programme for wider audiences in the Netherlands. I his spare time, he carries out research on the history of the work of UNESCO and the IIIC in the field of linguistics and bibliography.
