After graduating at Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze with a degree in Scenography, she works in the sector of Cultural Heritage communication engaged in particular with psychological and physiological impact in the perception of the ambience; has designed sets for numerous TV programmes broadcast on the channels RaiUno, RaiDue and RaiTre, and both temporary and permanent museum layouts for the Palazzo Ducale in Lucca, Palazzo Medici Riccardi and the Fortezza di Mont’Alfonso. She has collaborated with the National Gallery of London and her work has been selected several times for ADI Design Index.
She co-ordinates multidisciplinary working groups in the development of her projects, which include Arianna senza filo (Ariadne without thread) for the Environmental and Cultural Heritage Education and Documentation Centre at the Fortezza di Mont’Alfonso, in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology of the University of Pisa, the Department of Town Planning and the Media Integration and Communication Center (Center of Excellence) of the University of Florence, ALERR, ENEA and the National Research Council (CNR). The installation for the namesake Gallery "In the Mirror of the Wonder of Luca Giordano", designed to assess the experience by measuring various physical parameters as the expression of psychological and emotional correlates, involved the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the CNR of Pisa, the University of Florence, the University Hospital of Careggi and the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
She has worked on the concept and direction of HD videos on the restoration of major works of art which were presented alongside the restored originals during Chamere di percezione. These videos – filmed during the long and delicate restoration of the works – are scientific documentation of unrepeatable events of “perceptive re-emergence” helping to draw attention to the research carried out at the prestigious Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence, as in the case of the Polyptych of the Intercession by Gentile da Fabriano and Raphael’s Madonna of the Goldfinch.
Her works have been published in articles and featured in the Italian and foreign Press.
She is a member of the ADI (Industrial Design Association ), the BEDA (Bureau of European Design Associations) and of the IDEA (Italian Association of Exhibition Designers).
